India is on the list of countries whose citizens are eligible for a Turkey online e-Visa. There are various Turkey e-Visa requirements for Indian nationals that must be met in order to gain authorization to travel to this fascinating country.

This visa can be used for a single or multiple entries. The maximum length of time that the holder can stay in the country is either 30 or 90 days, depending on their nationality.

The Turkey visa online is open to more than 100 nationalities, although citizens of around 60 of these countries, including India, are required to meet some extra conditions in order to receive an approved Turkey e-Visa for Indian nationals.

To obtain authorization to travel to Turkey, Indian passport holders need to complete the Turkey online e-Visa application form.

The Turkey online e-Visa was launched in 2013, replacing the “sticker visa” system that had been in place prior to this. The online form is simple and streamlined to speed up and facilitate visa applications.

The Turkey e-Visa for Indian passport holders is designed for travelers who intend to visit the country for tourism or trade. It can be used for trips that require a single entry or multiple entries to the country

Indian citizens may visit Turkey for up to 30 days after obtaining the Turkey e-visa, which is valid for 180 days from the date that it is granted.

Visitors from India can apply for a Turkey e-Visa at any moment before the planned journey. However, it is advised to complete an e-Visa application a minimum of 48 hours before traveling to Turkey.

Turkey e-Visa Benefits for Indian Passport Holders

The Turkish e-Visa was introduced to replace the previous ‘sticker visa’ system in order to speed up the visa application process.

The benefits of a Turkey e-Visa for Indian passport holders include the fact that it is quick and simple to obtain online. The user-friendly system can be accessed from the applicant’s home or office, avoiding the need to go all the way to a Turkish embassy or consulate.

It also means that Indian applicants do not need to stand in line at ports of entry into Turkey to gain a visa on arrival.

Do Indian Passport Holders Need a Visa for Turkey?

The visa requirements to travel to Turkey depend on the nationality of the traveler, as well as the duration and purpose of the intended stay in the country.

The e-Visa for Turkey is available for Indian visitors traveling for tourism and trade purposes, for up to 30 days.

Indian nationals wishing to live, work, or study in Turkey must obtain the relevant visa or permit from a Turkish embassy or consulate. Any Indian national who plans to stay in Turkey for over 30 days for trade or tourism is must apply for a long-stay Turkey visa instead of the electronic visa.

Indian citizens who already have a valid Turkish visa may use it to enter the country instead of applying for a new e-Visa.

Turkey e-Visa Application for Citizens of India

In order to obtain a Turkish e-Visa, Indian nationals are required to complete the online eVisa application form.

The applicant must submit their basic personal details and passport information. Details about the planned trip to Turkey must also be provided.

Upon arrival in the country, visitors must present a printed copy of the e-Visa to border officials.

Information Required for a Turkey e-Visa Application for Indian Citizens

Information and documents required for Indian citizens to apply for a Turkey e-Visa online include the following items:

  • Passport valid for a minimum of 6 months beyond the duration of stay in Turkey
  • Current email address
  • Credit or debit card to cover the fee

Travelers are advised to make sure that the information provided on the application form for the Turkey electronic visa is accurate and consistent with the information on their passport.

The applicant should travel with the same passport used in the application process and enter Turkey within 180 days of receiving the approved e-Visa.

If the passport registered on the online form is lost, stolen, or damaged, the applicant will need to reapply for the Turkey e-Visa with their new Indian passport.

Extra conditions for Turkey e-Visa for Indian Citizens

Passport holders from around 60 countries and territories, including India, are eligible to apply for a Turkey e-Visa, but only if they meet some extra conditions.

Indian citizens must have the following additional documentation to be approved for an e-Visa for Turkey:

  • Proof of a valid hotel booking in Turkey
  • Proof of sufficient funds to cover the stay (at least US$50 per day)
  • Return or onward ticket
  • Valid physical visa or residence permit from one of the following countries: the Republic of Ireland, the UK, the US, or any of the Schengen Area countries. This does not include electronic visas or e-residence permits.

How Will I Receive Confirmation of my Turkey e-Visa from India?

Once approved, a link to download the Turkey e-Visa will be sent via e-mail to the address provided in the application form.

If that you are notified by the application system that your e-Visa application cannot be processed, you should visit your nearest Turkish embassy or consulate to submit a visa application.
