Once an online visa is approved, the eVisa holder is able to present their Indian passport at select ports of entry in South Africa to gain entry to the country. At the moment, entry with an eVisa is permitted at 2 South African airports: Lanseria and Ortia.
When arriving at South African border control, holders of a South Africa eVisa from India are also required to present the following documents to guarantee entry:
- Evidence of sufficient finances to cover the entire stay in the country
- Proof of return flight tickets or a ticket to a third destination
- Certificate of vaccination against yellow fever
The yellow fever certificate is only applicable if the Indian citizen has recently traveled to an area with a risk of yellow fever virus transmission.
It should be noted that if the holder of a South African online visa from India changes their Indian passport during the validity period of the eVisa, they will be required to submit a new electronic application to travel to South Africa.
