  • Simplified Application Form
  • Expert Application Review
  • Approved visa or money back

For French citizens looking to travel to Saudi Arabia as a tourist, it is now straightforward to apply for a Saudi Arabia visa to gain entry to the country through a simple online application process.

The Saudi Arabia eVisa is an electronic  visa that grants permission for French citizens and a number of other nationalities  to enter Saudi Arabia for tourism purposes.

The launch of the eVisa marks the first time a tourist visa  for Saudi Arabia has been available for French nationals, allowing visitors from France to discover the many historic cities, ruins and Unesco World Heritage sites that the country has to offer.

To ensure they receive an approved eVisa prior to traveling, applicants should follow the Saudi Arabia eVisa requirements for French nationals.

In order to apply, French passport holders are required to fill out  a simple electronic visa form that only takes a few minutes to complete.

Can I Submit a Saudi Arabia Electronic Visa Application from France?

The eVisa application process takes place entirely online, so French citizens can apply from anywhere in the world from outside of Saudi Arabia. They only need a device with a working internet connection.

The documents required for the Saudi Arabia eVisa for French citizens include:

  • A French passport with at least six months’ validity on from the intended date of arrival.
  • A passport-style photo of the applicant.
  • A method of payment, such as a credit card or debit card, to pay the Saudi Arabia eVisa processing fee.

Once completed, applicants should take some time to ensure the form is filled out correctly with no missing or false information, in order to avoid processing delays.

Before submitting the form, it is also necessary for French applicants to provide a valid email address that they regularly check, in order to receive status updates about the application, and a copy of the approved Saudi visa once it has been processed.

How Long Will it Take to Receive My Saudi Arabia eVisa?

Once it is submitted, the visa is usually processed within a few days, most often between 3-5 working days,  but it may sometimes be approved a lot faster. Be aware that processing can take longer at busy times of the year, so it is recommended that French citizens submit their application well ahead of their trip.

After it is approved, a copy of the eVisa will be sent to a current email address that the applicant is required to include on their application.

The eVisa is electronically linked to the holder’s French passport, which must be presented at Saudi immigration control to gain access to the country.

However, it is recommended that travelers ensure they have saved their eVisa to their phone or print out a copy to take with them on their trip, in case border officials wish to inspect it upon arrival.

How Long Does the eVisa Allow French Citizens to Stay in Saudi Arabia?

The Saudi Arabia eVisa is a multi-visit visa, meaning the holder can use it for multiple trips to the country, for a maximum stay of 90 consecutive days with each entry.

The total number of non-consecutive days a French eVisa holder can stay in Saudi Arabia is 180, and an approved visa is valid for 1 year from the date of issue.

Once approved, eVisa holders can enter Saudi Arabia via any of the country’s seaports, and via selected airports and land border crossings.

The airports that permit entry with an eVisa are:

  • King Khalid International Airport
  • King Abdulaziz International in Jeddah
  • King Fahd International Airport in Dammam
  • Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz International

The land border checkpoints that permit entry with the Saudi tourist visa are:

  • The King Fahd Bridge from Bahrain
  • The Al Batha from the UAE

It’s important to keep in mind that an approved eVisa only permits entry into Saudi Arabia for tourism purposes. French citizens looking to travel to Saudi Arabia for business,  or to work or study should contact their nearest Saudi embassy or consulate for further visa information.

Medical Insurance for French Nationals with a Saudi Arabia eVisa

One compulsory requirement that French nationals wishing to enter Saudi Arabia must meet is having mandatory medical insurance, which is automatically assigned once the travel authorization is processed and approved.

Upon approval, a French eVisa holder will be randomly assigned an insurance provider by the Saudi government.  In order to receive medical treatment while in Sadui Arabia, it will be necessary to supply the healthcare provider with the policy number of this compulsory document.
