  • Have a passport issued by the Republic of India with a validity of 6 months or more on their intended arrival

  • Supply a recently-taken personal ID photo in digital format (passport-style)
  • Use an active email address to register their eVisa request

Passport conditions to enter Oman from India with an eVisa

Indian travelers should ensure their passport will have a validity of at least 180 days on their arrival date. Otherwise, they must renew their passport before commencing their application process.

The Omani eVisa for Indians is a unique online visa and can only be issued to one passport. This is especially important for Indians with dual citizenship or if they need to replace their current passport before their visit.

If citizens of India arrive in Oman with a different passport from the one they applied for their eVisa, they will not be able to use the visa.

How Long Does It Take to Receive an Omani eVisa for Indian Citizens?

The Royal Oman Police analyzes all the applications submitted by travelers from India. Indian nationals will receive a resolution to their request within a maximum of 2 business days — in many cases sooner.

If nationals of India have answered the Oman eVisa form correctly, they will receive a confirmation email with the eVisa attached as a PDF.

Traveling to Oman from India with the eVisa

Indian citizens can enter Oman by authorized ports of entry by air, road, or sea.

Border officials will require them to submit their Indian passport and approved eVisa for inspection before being granted entry to the country.

Please note that the eVisa for Oman cannot be extended. If Indian visitors currently in Oman need to prolong their stay further than initially planned and beyond their approved dates, they are advised to simply leave the country temporarily, reapply for an eVisa using the quick online system, and re-enter Oman.
