Before proceeding to the application process, we recommend reading through the visa requirements for US citizens.
The following are the conditions that the Royal Oman Police requests from travelers of the United States:
- Possess an American passport with a validity of 6 months on their arrival date in Oman
- Provide digital copies of their passport’s biographical page and a recently taken ID photo
- Register their eVisa application with an active email address
- Have a debit or credit card to pay the eVisa processing fee.
Travelers from the United States must ensure their passport will be valid for 180 days minimum on their arrival date in Oman. If this condition is not met, we request that they send it for renewal with their local authorities at their earliest possibility.
American applicants will also have to ensure they possess good quality and readable digital images of their passport’s biographical page and of a recent ID photo.
We recommend confirming US nationals’ bank cards have been activated for online payments, and the email address they will use during registration is a frequently accessed one.
Since the Oman eVisa is primarily a short-term visa for tourism purposes, US passport holders interested in long-term visits or job-seeking opportunities must schedule an appointment at the Omani Embassy in Washington DC for further details.
