European Visa Waiver for the Netherlands

The European Visa Waiver for the Netherlands (ETIAS) is an electronic travel authorization, expected to be introduced from 2021. ETIAS Netherlands will allow eligible citizens to travel to the Netherlands for short stays, and to all of the 26 Schengen Area countries as well.

ETIAS for the Netherlands will allow travel to the Schengen Area for purposes of business, tourism, transit or medical treatment.

The ETIAS Visa Waiver for the Netherlands will be a multiple entry travel authorization and is expected to allow a stay of 90 days with each entry to the Netherlands and the Schengen Area. It will be valid for a total of 3 years from the date of approval.

The European Commission is introducing the ETIAS to the Netherlands in order to protect and strengthen European borders by pre-identifying any possible risks or threats associated with visitors traveling to Schengen Area countries.

Eligible citizens will be able to apply through the simple Netherlanders ETIAS visa waiver application online. It will only take a few minutes to complete the ETIAS application form for the Netherlands with personal, passport, and travel information. It is also necessary to answer a few questions related to health and security matters in order to submit the ETIAS Netherlands application and receive an approved visa waiver.

ETIAS Visa Waiver Requirements for the Netherlands
