Russian passport holders are eligible to obtain the Egyptian e-Visa. Before proceeding to the application form, we recommend they first read through the visa requirements for Russian citizens. The main conditions for the Egyptian e-Visa are listed below:
- Have a Russian passport valid for at least 6 months from their arrival date
- Submit a digital photo of the applicant (passport-style)
- Have a digital image of the passport’s biographical page
- Provide a frequently used email address
- Use a debit or credit card
- Proof of accommodation in Egypt
Russian citizens with a passport that will expire in less than six months from the date they intend to reach Egypt must first renew it before completing their e-Visa form. They should also upload digital copies of their passport’s biographical page and a recent ID photo.
The e-Visa is a unique online visa and will be automatically linked to the holders’ passports. It is not transferable to a second travel document. This is especially important for Russian nationals who need to renew their passports after sending their application.
We recommend Russian travelers register with a frequently used email address. The Egyptian government will issue all their communications plus the e-Visa via email or online chats.
Russian visitors must also share their accommodation details in Egypt before beginning the application process. Lastly, since the payment of the e-Visa will be made electronically, Russian passport holders are recommended to check their cards have been previously activated for online payments.
Russian nationals interested in traveling to Egypt for longer periods of time and purposes other than touristic visits, such as professional or academic opportunities, should schedule a visit at the Egyptian embassy in Moscow for further options.
